Gibson Custom has unveiled a limited-edition ES-335 guitar created in tribute to Gustavo Cerati, the influential Argentine musician best known for his work with Soda Stereo and his solo career.
The new model was announced as a recreation of Cerati’s original 1965 ES-335, an instrument closely connected to some of the most memorable moments in his career. Only 60 guitars will be produced worldwide, making the release a highly limited collector’s edition.
Cerati frequently played the ES-335 during major performances, including Soda Stereo’s MTV Unplugged appearance, the band’s farewell tour in 1997, and its 2007 reunion shows. Over time, the guitar became part of his recognizable stage presence and musical identity.
