Radiohead made history at London’s O2 Arena last week by breaking the venue’s attendance record previously held by Metallica since 2017. The Grammy-winning British rock band played four sold-out shows with more than 22,200 fans each night (Nov. 21, 22, and 24), while reaching a peak of 22,355 attendees on their final date (Nov. 25). This marked Radiohead’s first live performances in London since 2018, and their return to touring after a seven-year hiatus following their 2016 album, A Moon Shaped Pool. “These past four record-breaking nights will go down in the venue’s history, with Radiohead breaking the attendance records each night,” Christian D’Acuna, the O2’s senior programming director, said in a statement. “We knew how special these exclusive shows would be and we’re so grateful to the band for bringing them to the O2. These shows will be remembered for years to come.” Radiohead have upcoming four-night stands in Copenhagen (Dec. 1-5) and Berlin (Dec. 8-12) to wrap up their 2025 European tour. (Billboard)
