Former Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested Saturday in Lane County, Oregon for allegedly violating probation from a prior domestic violence conviction. Bryan is being held without bail at Lane County Jail and scheduled for release Wednesday. His girlfriend Johnnie Faye Cartwright was also arrested, facing five charges including DUI, three counts of reckless endangering, and attempted first-degree assault. This marks Bryan’s latest legal trouble following a January arrest in South Carolina for second-degree domestic violence. Bryan previously pleaded guilty in February 2021 to menacing and fourth-degree assault charges. “We didn’t even really get that physical,” Bryan told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. “We got really loud.” Bryan played Tim Allen’s eldest son on the 1990s sitcom and has struggled with multiple arrests including past DUI charges.
