London’s Metropolitan Police have concluded their investigation into the death of 45-year-old Lee Claydon, who died after falling from a balcony at Wembley Stadium during an Oasis concert in August. Officers determined that it was a tragic accident with no third-party involvement or suicide suspected. A toxicology report raised no concerns, and the case is not considered criminal. “This, from everything we have seen, was a tragic accident,” said Detective Sergeant James Raffin, who added, “From a police point of view, I would say our investigation is complete.” Following the incident, Oasis released a statement that read, “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,” while expressing their condolences to Claydon’s friends and family. Claydon’s father described him as a “hard-working family man,” while his brother mourned the loss of his “best mate.” The Barnet Coroner is expected to issue a full examination report in February.
