Pierce the Veil’s “So Far So Fake” has reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart more than two years after its release, boosted by a viral TikTok dance challenge that led to its radio promotion this summer. The track, from their 2023 No. 1 rock album, The Jaws of Life, follows their previous chart-topper, “Emergency Contact,” which reached No. 1 for a week in August 2023. “So Far So Fake” also jumped two spots to reach No. 4 on Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, after garnering 3.7 million audience impressions, becoming the band’s highest-charted song on the tally. The track also reached No. 16 on the current Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, bolstered by significant radio airplay along with drawing 3.1 million official U.S. streams. Back in August, “So Far So Fake” gave the band their first-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 64, while also scoring their highest position on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart at No. 8.
