Meghan Markle was spotted filming her first acting role since leaving royal life on November 5th in Pasadena, California. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, appears as herself in Amazon MGM’s upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends, starring alongside Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding. An insider told PEOPLE, “Meghan was on the set today. She has a small part. She seemed very relaxed and happy. She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth.” Markle departed Suits eight years ago after announcing her engagement to Prince Harry. A studio source said, “This is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves.” The film follows a couple who befriend famous individuals during a Santa Barbara trip, near where Markle lives in Montecito with Harry and their children.
