Bad Omens achieved their fastest rise to No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Specter,” which rose two places to claim the top spot on the October 18 tally. The eight-week run to the top of the chart for “Specter” surpassed the 27 weeks it took their previous No. 1 hit, “Just Pretend,” to top the survey in 2023. This marks the second career chart-topper for the Richmond, Virginia band, and follows strong Mainstream Rock Airplay showings by “The Death of Peace of Mind,” which peaked at No. 2 in 2023, and the Poppy collaboration, “V.A.N.,” which rose to No. 9 in 2024. “Specter” also climbed to No. 15 on Alternative Airplay, and reached a career-best No. 3 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 4.1 million audience impressions. The song previously spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs list, supported by 1.7 million streams and 1,000 sales. (Billboard)
