Eddie Vedder and his band the Earthlings – featuring Andrew Watt, Josh Klinghoffer, Glen Hansard, Chad Smith, and Chris Chaney – headlined the Ohana Music Festival in Dana Point, California, on Friday night (September 26). The band performed a series of covers, including Devo’s “Gut Feeling,” the Who’s “I’m One,” and Led Zeppelin’s “The Song Remains the Same,” alongside Pearl Jam classics like “Corduroy” and “Rearviewmirror.” Vedder praised the women artists on the bill, calling them “legends” and “magnificent human beings,” while singling out Garbage’s Shirley Manson, Jessica Dobson from Deep Sea Diver, Kim Deal, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O, and his wife, Jill. The set also featured a medley of the English Beat’s “Save It for Later” and Pearl Jam’s “Better Man,” and concluded with a rendition of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” alongside guests like Stereophonics’ Kelly Jones and Fitz and the Tantrums’ James King on saxophone. The festival concluded on Sunday, featuring headliners Hozier and Green Day throughout the weekend. (Rolling Stone)
