Nexstar resumed broadcasting Jimmy Kimmel Live! on its 32 ABC affiliates Friday night, joining Sinclair’s earlier decision to restore the show on its 38 ABC stations. Both groups had preempted Kimmel’s late-night program following his September 15th comments about Charlie Kirk’s killer. ABC also initially suspended the show September 17th before bringing it back Tuesday with record ratings despite the ongoing blackout. Disney made no editorial concessions to resolve the standoffs. Kimmel will broadcast from the Brooklyn Academy Of Music in New York City for five nights starting tonight, marking his first full week since returning from suspension. The guest roster notably includes several figures frequently criticized by President Trump, including Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen, Stephen Colbert, and Spike Lee, though the booking appears coincidental to Kimmel’s recent drama.
