Jack White delivered a double dose for fans at Riot Fest 2025 in Chicago over the weekend, headlining Saturday’s (September 20) show and making a surprise guest appearance with fellow headliners Idles on Sunday. White joined the British punk band for a fiery collaboration on their raucous 2018 single, “Never Fight a Man With a Perm.” White energized the crowd alongside Idles during their set, before they closed their performance with a cheeky cover of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and a collaboration with Soft Play on “Rottweiler.” While White’s own set did not feature any special guests, he’s recently celebrated his fellow musicians by performing with Ringo Starr and attending a Nine Inch Nails concert over the past few weeks. White will next headline the CBGB Festival in Brooklyn on September 27, while Idles are nearing completion of their new album following their soundtrack work for Darren Aronofsky’s new film, Caught Stealing.
