Eric Dane announced a partnership with nonprofit I AM ALS on Monday, one day after missing his scheduled Emmy Awards appearance. The 52-year-old actor revealed the organization’s Push For Progress campaign seeking $1 billion for ALS research over three years. “For over a century, ALS has been incurable, and we’re done accepting the status quo. We need the fastest path to a cure, and that’s why I partnered with I Am ALS on the Push For Progress. Our goal: a billion dollars over the next three years,” Dane said in an Instagram video. The campaign aims to renew the Act For ALS law set to expire in 2026. Dane exclusively revealed his own ALS diagnosis in April 2025. He was scheduled to present an Emmy award with his Grey’s Anatomy co-star Jesse Williams but did not appear. Williams presented alone without explanation from producers. (Story URL)
