During their concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday night (August 31), Oasis paid tribute to the victims of the August 27 shooting at Minneapolis’s Annunciation Church and School by dedicating their performance of “Live Forever” to the children affected by the tragedy. “I want to dedicate this next tune to the kiddies in Minneapolis. ‘Live Forever,’” said frontman Liam Gallagher from the stage, honoring the two children killed and 18 injured when a shooter fired into the church during morning mass. This continues an ongoing tradition during Oasis’ reunion tour where the band dedicates their 1994 hit to a variety of notable figures who have recently died, such as Ozzy Osbourne and Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota. Following another sold-out show at MetLife on Monday, Oasis Live ‘25 Tour continues with two massive shows at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California this upcoming weekend (September 6-7).
