My Morning Jacket are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album, Z, with a deluxe edition set to be released on October 3. The collection – available in a 3LP colored vinyl set, 2CD package, and digital formats – features the remastered original album, 14 outtakes, unreleased songs, demos, and new liner notes by David Fricke. The set also includes the newly shared song, “Where to Begin,” a track recorded during the Z sessions for the film Elizabethtown, which marks early contributions from guitarist Carl Broemel and keyboardist Bo Koster. The release accompanies a special Z anniversary tour, with full album run-throughs scheduled at prestigious venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater, Hollywood Palladium, Brooklyn Paramount, and Chicago’s Salt Shed, alongside a series of additional U.S. dates supporting their latest album, is.
