Bob Dylan recently spent two days recording at White Lake Studios in Colonie, New York, according to a press release from the studio. “We want every artist and guest to feel relaxed and at home,” said David Bourgeois, CEO of White Lake Studios. “We’ve had the privilege of working with many remarkable talents over the years, but this visit was truly special. I’m incredibly proud of our team.” The 84-year-old songwriter, who hasn’t released new original material since his 2020 album, Rough and Rowdy Ways, is currently touring with Willie Nelson on the Outlaw Music Festival, which continues through mid-September, followed by a UK and European tour scheduled for this fall. During the Buffalo, N.Y. stop of the Outlaw Music Festival on Friday night (August 8), Dylan dusted off his 1963 anti-war protest anthem, “Masters of War,” for the first time since 2016. The music legend also opened his set with the same song the next night in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dylan last performed “Masters of War” at the Desert Trip music festival in Indio, California.
