Superman, starring David Corenswet as the Man Of Steel, earned $122 million in its opening weekend, marking the third-largest debut of the year, behind A Minecraft Movie ($162 million) and Lilo & Stitch ($146 million). In second place, Jurassic World Rebirth added $40 million in its second weekend, a 57% drop from its debut. However, the film, which rebooted the long-running series with Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, has been a box office success, earning $232 million domestically and $529 million globally. Apple’s F1 took third place with $13 million, followed by How to Train Your Dragon with $7.8 million and Elio with $4 million. (Variety)
