On Father’s Day (June 15), Noah Weiland shared a cover of “Slither” from his late father Scott Weiland’s band Velvet Revolver. The tune is accompanied by a surreal music video featuring AI-generated Slash and Duff McKagan making out, as well as images of Scott holding Noah as a small child. “The video is supposed to be like a gnarly fever dream,” Weiland says. “I even get a visit from my father in the dream as well, which is something that happens to me in real life as well. I basically did the whole video from my iPhone lying in bed, same way I record all of my music too.” Noah previously covered “Sex Type Thing” by Scott’s primary band, Stone Temple Pilots, and is preparing to release his new solo EP, Crashout Junkie. “Slither” was featured on Velvet Revolver’s 2004 debut album, Contraband, and topped both the Mainstream Rock and Alternative Airplay charts.
