Netflix has picked up the upcoming Season 56 of Sesame Street. This deal grants Netflix exclusive worldwide premiere rights and access to 90 hours of past show episodes, and allows the streaming platform to develop video games. The show will still be available simultaneously on U.S. PBS stations and PBS Kids digital platforms. Season 56 of Sesame Street is set to undergo a “reimagining,” with focus on 11-minute character-driven stories and the introduction of a new animated segment titled “Tales From 123.” The upcoming season will also introduce fresh format changes and bring back beloved segments like Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck.
