In a new interview with Guitar Player, Dave Navarro declared that a reunion of Jane’s Addiction is highly unlikely following an onstage fight during a concert last September in Boston where Perry Farrell physically attacked him on stage and backstage. The brawl ended the show prematurely, with the band immediately cancelling all remaining dates on the tour. “It all came to a screeching halt and forever destroyed the band’s life,” Navarro says, describing his feelings about the incident, “still very tender and unresolved.” Navarro went on to say that the disastrous performance in Boston “is my least favorite gig that I have ever played,” and because of that high-profile on stage altercation, “there’s no chance for the band to ever play together again.” Navarro is rumored to be recording new music with fellow Jane’s members Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins, possibly reviving his Deconstruction side project with Avery.
