Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo has launched a new band called One More Satellite, and debuts the project with the lead single, “Paper Over the Cracks.” DeLeo has teamed up with English vocalist Pete Shoulder in the group, and they are set to release the self-titled debut album on July 18th. “I was simply sitting on some songs I wanted to record,” DeLeo said of the project in a press release. “What started out as an instrumental album, quickly changed soon after Pete and I chatted. He was going to sing on a song or two, then wound up singing on eight of the 10 on the record.” The album was co-produced and mixed by Ryan Williams, and it also includes special contributions from DeLeo’s son Rocco on drums and his daughter June on backing vocals, with Stone Temple Pilots drummer Eric Kretz playing on one track, while Brian Tichy (Billy Idol, Whitesnake) played drums on the rest of the record.
