On Monday (February 24), Pantera announced the dates and details of their 2025 U.S. summer amphitheater tour. The self-proclaimed “Heaviest Tour of the Summer” will hit 29 cities throughout the country from July through September, kicking off on July 15 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and finishing up on September 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Swedish metal legends Amon Amarth will provide support throughout the tour, with additional opening acts to be announced soon. Pantera’s current touring lineup includes core members, vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown, alongside guitarist Zakk Wylde and Anthrax’s drummer Charlie Benante. The metal legends reunited in 2022, and eventually toured Europe and opened for Metallica on their M72 World Tour, and are set to appear at Black Sabbath‘s final reunion show on July 5 in Birmingham, England. Ticket pre-sales for Pantera’s US tour begins on Tuesday (February 25), with the general on-sale starting on Friday (February 28). (Billboard)
