On Wednesday (February 12), the Jonas Brothers sent their fans into a panic by posting an open letter on Instagram that everyone initially misunderstood as a breakup announcement. “To our incredible fans, as a family, we have been reflecting a lot lately,” the letter started. “It’s been 20 years since we started this journey together. To us, it feels like just yesterday.” After reading the first two paragraphs, fans were worried that the brothers were announcing another band breakup, following their initial split in 2011. “STOP I THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING TO BE ANOTHER BREAKUP,” read a distraught all-caps reply. The trio calmed the fears of their fanbase at the end of the letter, writing: “We are celebrating this wild 20-year journey by doing what we love, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Here’s to the next 20 years, and here’s to doing it together. The best is yet to come.” (Us Magazine)
