In a new interview with People, Shania Twain expressed gratitude for inspiring a new generation of music stars, including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, and Kelsea Ballerini. The country music icon describes their praise as “humbling” and “rewarding,” while also reflecting on her personal admiration for artists who influenced her own journey. “It is very moving, and I relate to what they say when they talk about me and how they’re feeling and how they express it to me personally,” Twain admits. “I relate to it in the sense that I felt that way when I was younger about other artists that had already been where I was headed.” Twain sees the recognition from emerging artists as a full-circle moment, acknowledging the importance of expressing gratitude to those who have inspired her own career in return.
