Krypto The Superdog will make his live-action debut in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie next summer, as confirmed by the director in celebration of Adopt A Shelter Dog month. Inspired by Gunn’s own rescue dog Ozu, Krypto’s introduction in the script was influenced by Ozu’s transformation from destructive force to member of the family. The superpowered dog from Krypton will join David Corenswet’s Superman in 2025 before next appearing alongside Milly Alcock in Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow. A longtime favorite in DC Comics, Krypto possesses super strength, intelligence, and senses, just like his friend Superman. (Variety)
