Deadpool & Wolverine continues to break box office records, earning $54.2 million in its third week for a worldwide total of $1.029 billion. It’s about to pass Joker ($1.07 billion) as the highest grossing R-rated movie in history. The Blake Lively-led rom-com It Ends With Us debuted big in the second place spot with $50 million, which is also Lively’s biggest opening ever as a lead actress. Twisters, in its fourth weekend, came in third with $15.4 million while the video game adaptation Borderlands, starring Cate Blanchett, bombed with $8.8 million in fourth place. Rounding out the top 5 was the animated hit Despicable Me 4, adding another $8 million. (Variety)
