Foo Fighters had to end their show early on Wednesday night (July 17) at Citi Field in New York, due to severe weather and lightning strikes in the area. According to show reports on social media, the band only played 13 songs instead of their typical 20+ songs set. The Foos had warned fans about the severe incoming weather before playing “Learn To Fly,” and the group left the stage shortly after playing the intro to “Everlong.” The group expressed their regret that they ended their show early in a post on X: “We are so disappointed that we were unable to play our full set for tonight’s fantastic crowd at Citi Field. But the safety of our fans, the crew and everyone working in the stadium comes first, so when it was determined that there was no safe way to continue the show in this dangerous weather, we had no choice but to call it a night.” Foo Fighters are set to play Citi Field again on Friday (July 19).
