Dwayne Johnson revealed in an Instagram video that he sustained an elbow injury while filming his upcoming mixed martial arts movie, The Smashing Machine. He displayed his swollen elbow, saying it “looks like I have a cantaloupe in the bottom of my elbow.” Despite the injury, he remained upbeat, citing advice from his late father, wrestler Rocky Johnson: “He always used to say, ‘A day without pain is like a day without sunshine, boy.’” Johnson stars in the film as wrestling and MMA champion Mark Kerr. It’s being touted as Johnson’s most dramatic project, and also features Emily Blunt as Kerr’s wife, Dawn Staples. (Variety)
