Anthrax lead singer Joey Belladonna has announced his plans for a new live tribute act for metal legend Ronnie James Dio. During four Florida shows this August, Belladonna and his wife Krista will be performing songs from throughout Dio’s legendary career, including his celebrated work in Rainbow and Black Sabbath. Belladonna shared his excitement for the upcoming tribute shows on Instagram, saying, “Krista and I are proud to announce our new tribute band to Ronnie James Dio! A night of songs from Dio, Sabbath, and Rainbow!” Covering beloved metal and hard rock anthems is nothing new for Belladonna, who regularly performs covers as part of Joey Belladonna’s Jukebox, along with fronting a Journey tribute act Beyond Frontiers that has been active for years.
