Lil Nas X has lost nearly 140,000 followers on Instagram amid the Christian-themed promotion around his new single, 'J Christ.' Social Blade, a social media analytics tracking website, found Nas had 11.5 million Instagram followers on Jan. 7th, but lost 17,000 the next day when he revealed the single artwork for “J. Christ” depicting him on a cross. He then lost another 20,000 the following day, and a whopping 46,000 on Jan. 12 when the “J Christ” video was released. Things have continued to dip, and he's down 137,507 fans as of Wednesday. Lil Nas X tried to explain himself in a recent video, insisting he "didn't mean to mock" Christianity. "This wasn't like a 'Fu-k you to you people,' 'Fu-k you to the Christians,'" he says. "It was not that, it was literally me saying I'm back like Jesus.”
