78-year-old Roger Waters, former frontman of the band Pink Floyd, played his second night at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Tuesday (8/31)–continuing his ‘This is Not a Drill’ tour, previously rescheduled from 2020 due to the pandemic. The concerts include as much fiery political content as they do psych-rock music from his Pink Floyd days. The performances also feature many different visual aspects, including remote-controlled snails and a ton of smoke, as well as images of political figures like Ronald Reagan and President Joe Biden, who are branded as “war criminals”. Other footage used included George Floyd, American Indian land displacement, and the war in Ukraine. Audiences note the innovative combination of visual and musical art, as well as political commentary, in his shows. The concert series is set to continue on until October, where it will conclude in Mexico City. (https://bit.ly/3AHvT7R)
