Fleetwood Mac's 1977 Rumours album has soared back into the Billboard Top 10 following the recent Tik Tok video featuring the album's sole chart-topper, “Dreams.” The album's new ranking at Number 10 will be marked on the magazine's Billboard 200 albums chart dated October 24th.
Billboard posted: “Rumours earned 33,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending October 15 — up 15 percent, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Of that sum, 23,000 comprise SEA units (up 15 percent, equating to 30.6 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs, including 'Dreams'), a little under 7,000 are in album sales (up 15 percent) and 4,000 are in TEA units (up 13 percent).”
The surge in interest is due to the video of a man in a hoodie, named Nathan Apodaca, who was pulled on his skateboard while drinking cranberry juice and singing along to “Dreams,” which has gone viral and spawned answer videos from both Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks.
