Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande were set to perform “Rain on Me” live for the first time but they canceled their plans due to The Chainsmokers’ apparent lack of coronavirus precautions at a recent performance in the Hamptons.
The two superstars were due to perform at the Drive ‘N Drag Tour stop at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles last week, according to Page Six.
“Gaga really wanted to do it, but the Rose Bowl pulled the plug because of what happened in the Hamptons. They feared that once the crowd realized who it was, they would run toward the stage, not social distance, and they feared they’d lose their license,” a source said.
