Demi Lovato dropped by The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday (June 23) and offered up a huge compliment. She told Kelly Clarkson she was the first idol she had as a child, she said: “I wouldn't be the artist, or even the person, that I am – being so outspoken and vulnerable and fearless… If I hadn't had you to look up to.”
She continued and said, “When I was younger, I always just thought to myself, ‘If I ever make it, I want to be like her because she's real and she's genuine.'”
During the chat, Lovato also opened up about supporting Black Lives Matter and how she's using her platform to be an effective ally to the movement.
