Out today (June 19th) is Bob Dylan's 39th studio set, album, Rough And Rowdy Ways. Back in May, Dylan dropped “False Prophet” from the set, which followed his two recent tracks, the 17-minute, “Murder Most Foul” and “I Contain Multitudes.” The CD version of the album features “Murder Most Foul” on a separate disc.
The album's first single, the nearly 17-minute track, “Murder Most Foul,” debuted at Number One on Billboard's Rock Digital Song Sales chart. The track also hit Number Five on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart.
During a chat a while back with CBS' 60 Minutes, Dylan was asked why he continues to write, record, and tour: “Well, it goes back to that destiny thing. Y'know, I made a bargain with it, y'know, a long time ago, to get where I am now. I'm holdin' up my end.”
