Lumineers frontman Wesley Schultz has collaborated with Cold War Kids on a new song and video called “1 x 1.” The song was co-written by OneRepublic's Brent Kutzle and features Schultz trading vocals with Cold War Kids' Nathan Willett.
The latter said, “This song was inspired by the stories of child migrants separated from their families at the border. Now that we are all quarantined, it has taken on an extra meaning . . . one by one each of us are staying apart to help the whole of us.”
The Lumineers had one of the hottest tours on the road back in March, before the coronavirus pandemic shut down all concerts. The Lumineers were touring behind their third studio album, III, which arrived last year and features the hits “Gloria” and “Life In The City.”
