Lil Nas X transforms into a vampire in his new music video for “Rodeo” featuring Nas in a the new Matrix-inspired visual.
Cardi B appeared on the original version of the song. “I didn’t ‘kick’ cardi off of rodeo,” Lil Nas explained on Twitter. “She couldn’t do the video. we cool tho.”
Big Nas dropped a verse for the remix, which was debuted with a performance at the Grammy Awards last month.
The three-minute video sees Little Nas make his way into a phone booth and get bit by a sparkling vampire. After stumbling around the streets, he makes his way into a pharmacy, where his ghoulish transformation becomes more apparent.
OG Nas appears for his guest verse in a Matrix-inspired outfit, offering the star one of two pills. He chooses the red one, which unlocks some superhuman speed and he's able to escape his agent enemies without any harm.
There is also some Doritos product placement in the video, which makes sense if you have seen Lil Nas X’s Super Bowl commercial.
