Self Esteem, the stage name of musician and performer Rebecca Lucy Taylor, has secured her first major feature film role in the upcoming Welsh drama Mountain.
The production announced that Taylor will appear alongside Peter Mullan and Iwan Rheon in the coming-of-age film, which is set in Wales during the 1980s. Directed by Celyn Jones, Mountain follows a neglected young boy who is searching for friendship and a stronger sense of belonging.
His life begins to change after he meets a reclusive man living on a mountain, forming a connection that becomes central to the story. Filming took place in and around Holyhead on the Welsh island of Anglesey.
