Madonna has added another major milestone to her career after Confessions II debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart. Billboard noted that the release gives her a 13th chart-topping album in the United Kingdom, extending a run of success that now spans five decades.
The achievement makes Madonna the first American female artist to earn a UK No. 1 album in five different decades. It is also her first album to reach the top of the UK chart since MDNA in 2012.
With 13 UK No. 1 albums, Madonna now shares fifth place on the all-time list with Elvis Presley. The result adds another significant chapter to a career already defined by long-term commercial success and repeated chart records.
