Dave Grohl had no problem poking fun at himself during a recent Foo Fighters appearance on Hot Ones Versus, where the band was asked to revisit some of its own history.
During the segment, Grohl singled out a line from the 2005 Foo Fighters song DOA, calling it one of the most ridiculous lyrics he has written. The lyric, centered on the idea that everyone eventually dies, came up as part of a challenge tied to the band’s past songs and creative choices.
Grohl explained that the line came from a rushed studio moment rather than some carefully planned statement. His reaction was blunt and funny, but it also gave a small look at how quickly songs can take shape when a band is working under pressure.
