Mötley Crüe appears to be considering a pause once its current touring cycle wraps up. In a
recent social media exchange, bassist Nikki Sixx said the band’s existing contract concludes after the 2026 U.S. tour, and that some extended time off may follow.
The comments came as the band prepares for “The Return of the Carnival of Sins” tour, a 33-date run marking 45 years since the band formed. According to Sixx, the group would likely step away from touring in 2027 to reassess future plans. He stopped short of framing it as a retirement, instead describing it as a chance to reset after years of near-constant activity.
