Dry Cleaning released a new album titled Secret Love on January 9. The record follows the group’s earlier work and keeps their core identity intact while expanding its scope.
The album was recorded across several locations, including London, Dublin, Chicago, and the Loire Valley. Production was handled by Cate Le Bon, who has worked with the band before. The sound remains rooted in post-punk, built around sharp guitar lines, steady rhythm sections, and Florence Shaw’s spoken-word vocal delivery.
Compared to previous releases, Secret Love introduces more layered arrangements and moments of melodic structure. Some tracks move beyond the band’s usual restraint, adding texture without abandoning their minimal approach.
