Nick Reiner has been charged with two murder counts in the stabbing deaths of his parents Rob and Michele Reiner at their Brentwood home. The charges include special circumstances for multiple murders, making them death penalty eligible. Nick failed to appear in court Tuesday as scheduled because he wasn’t “medically cleared,” his attorney Alan Jackson announced. The high-profile lawyer, who previously defended Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, did not offer any additional details. Nick was booked Monday on suspicion of murder and remains jailed without bail. The couple was discovered dead Sunday afternoon at 3:40 p.m. by their daughter Romy. Police determined the deaths were homicides and identified Nick as responsible. Sources report Nick and his father had a heated argument Saturday night at Conan O’Brien’s holiday party before the couple left early. (Story URL)
