Peacock is developing a scripted television series based on the classic board game Clue. Dana Fox (Wicked, Cruella) will serve as showrunner while Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets, Platonic) will direct, with both executive producing the project. Sony acquired film and television rights to the Hasbro game in 2024. A separate competition series adaptation of the game is also being developed at Netflix. Previous attempts at a Clue movie included Ryan Reynolds in 2018, with Jason Bateman attached to direct before the project stalled. However, the board game was previously adapted into a cult classic 1985 feature film starring Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd and others. (Story URL)
