This year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade reached an all-time viewership record with 34.3 million watchers across NBC and Peacock, according to preliminary Nielsen data. The audience increased 8% from last year, adding 2.5 million viewers. Younger viewers under 25 jumped 20%. “These record-breaking numbers signify how beloved this parade is to our audience,” an NBC rep said. Macy’s chief marketing officer Sharon Otterman, meanwhile, called the ratings “a powerful testament to the creative mastery, technical precision and storytelling ambition Macy’s offers.” The National Dog Show drew 12.8 million viewers, up 4% from last year.
