The Black Crowes are commemorating the 30th anniversary of their 1994 album, Amorica, with a new concert special recorded live at Analog, a music venue in Nashville’s Hutton Hotel. Chris and Rich Robinson lead the Atlanta southern rock band through spirited performances of tracks like “Wiser Time,” “P. 25 London,” and “A Conspiracy,” with the show also including an interview with the brothers where they reflect on the album’s melancholic themes. “Some of the imagery and the emotion in it is bleak and lonely,” Chris says, while wondering, “How can you be 28 years old and already be that dusted? That’s just growing up as well.” The special celebrates the complex legacy of the Crowes’ third record, and coincides with the November 14 release of a remastered deluxe edition of the album that features seven unreleased tracks, live versions, and unreleased songs. The concert, directed by Pat Heaphy and produced by iMaggination, is now streaming for free on YouTube and will air on public television stations nationwide. (Rolling Stone)
