Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and singer Carla Harvey tied the knot in a star-studded Las Vegas wedding on Sunday (October 12) that was officiated by KISS legend Gene Simmons. The ceremony was attended by fellow rock icons from Anthrax, Pantera, Mötley Crüe, Dream Theater, and Nickelback. After dating for several years, the couple got engaged after Benante proposed at a U2 Sphere concert in 2024, and they celebrated their marriage with a reception described by Benante as “an elegant Russ Meyer movie with a rock and roll twist.” The newlywed’s first dance was to U2’s “All I Want Is You,” with Benante later taking part in an all-star jam session featuring his Anthrax bandmates Scott Ian and Frank Bello, Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Zach Throne (Jerry Cantrell’s band), and Chris Jericho (Fozzy). Despite their recent nuptials, they both plan to quickly return to work, developing new material for Carla’s band The Violent Hour and finalizing a new Anthrax album. (People)
