Elton John fulfilled a playful wager by giving Lola Young the keys to his house after her single “D£aler” failed to reach number one on the charts. The 78-year-old music legend made the bet in July on his Apple Music show Rocket Hour, declaring “I bet my house that that’s a number-one single.” In an Instagram video posted Sunday, John joked with the 24-year-old rising star about honoring the agreement. “I said, ‘Lola, if your single didn’t get to number one, ‘Dealer,’ that I would give you the keys to my house,'” John said. When he asked if he and husband David Furnish could “stay the odd night,” Young replied “No, sorry.
