Kelly Osbourne criticized wrestler Becky Lynch and the WWE for making a crude joke about her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, and his hometown of Birmingham during an episode of Monday Night Raw hosted by the English city on August 25. While Lynch was refusing a title challenge from Nikki Bella, she dismissed wrestling in Birmingham by saying “the only good thing that came out of here died a month ago,” referring to Ozzy’s passing on July 22. She went on to further mock the city by adding, “But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to L.A., a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.” The remarks sparked boos from the crowd and widespread backlash, with Kelly calling Lynch a “disrespectful dirtbag” on her Instagram Story. “Birmingham would not piss on you if you were on fire. #birminghamforever,” Kelly wrote. “Shame on the @wwe for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!!!!” (Consequence of Sound)
