The New York Mets will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Beatles’ legendary 1965 Shea Stadium concert on August 15th when they host the Seattle Mariners. The event will feature a performance by the tribute band 1964 the Tribute on Shea Bridge, an outfield pedestrian walkway, approximately an hour before the game. Additionally, the first 15,000 fans entering the stadium will receive an exclusive Shea Stadium replica. The game’s ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by individuals who worked at the stadium during the Beatles’ 1965 concert, which drew a record-breaking crowd of over 55,000 people. The evening will conclude with a themed fireworks show after the game. The Beatles played two shows at Shea Stadium in 1965, on August 15th and August 23rd, marking a significant milestone in their career. (Ultimate Classic Rock)
