King Charles‘ guards paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday (July 30) by performing Black Sabbath‘s “Paranoid” during the Changing of the Guard ceremony. The royal honor coincided with the funeral procession for the heavy metal legend that took place in Ozzy’s hometown of Birmingham that same day. The Band of the Coldstream Guards’ rendition was praised on social media as “Britishness at its best,” which served as a fitting honor for Osbourne, who passed away at the age of 76 on July 22, after struggling with Parkinson’s disease for over five years. Ozzy had close ties with the British royals, including performing at Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee at Buckingham Palace in 2002, and supporting the future King Charles at a reception for his charity, The Prince’s Trust, at Clarence House in 2006.
