Five Finger Death Punch continues its historic streak on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, as “I Refuse” becomes the band’s 12th consecutive No. 1 single, and their 16th overall. This reworked version of the Las Vegas band’s 2018 track features additional vocals by Maria Brink of In This Moment. The band’s uninterrupted run of 12 straight No. 1 hits dates back to 2018’s “Sham Pain,” while they first topped the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2012 with “Coming Down.” “I Refuse” also currently sits at No. 15 on Rock & Alternative Airplay and No. 25 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs charts. Five Finger Death Punch now claim 16 career No. 1s, giving them the third-most chart-toppers in the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart’s 44-year history, behind only Shinedown (with 20 No. 1s) and Three Days Grace (19 No. 1s). The reimagined version of “I Refuse” is featured on the band’s new collection of re-recordings, Best Of (Volume 1), which was released on Friday (July 18). (Billboard)
